10-day Inspirational Dolphin Adventure in Mozambique

Facilitated by Mags Mackean and Courtney Ward

Vision:

Dream big and dive deep into the oceanic depths of your creativity. Be inspired by the guardians of the dreamtime, the Bottlenose Dolphins, and anchor your vision for you, the world, and generations to come.

Immerse in sacred lands, reefs and waters of the Indian Ocean in Southern Mozambique.

Drop everyday distraction to listen deeply, your heart wide open – to receive your soul’s vision calling to be lived…

Let the dolphins guide you, as you explore: What is my unique song I long to express, and gift this world? What is the change I dare to make, live and see?

  • Experience a 10-day immersion at the amphibious temple of Malongane – “where heaven and earth meet”
  • Meet the resident dolphin pods in respectful encounters, including 5 wild swims.
  • Witness the last of the migrating Humpback Whales en route to their Antartica base; the turtles, the ocean’s most ancient residents swimming vast distances back to their native beach to lay eggs
  • Be guided with simple transformative tools to make the bold steps of change in your everyday life…
  • Take part in plastic beach sweeps, and co-create a sculpture with local schoolchildren to celebrate our oceans
  • Experience the vast starry African sky by the fire as dozens of indigenous instruments sound you into hidden dimensions.
  • This is a life-changing opportunity to connect with the ocean’s most magnificent beings. A briefest look into the eyes of a dolphin will change you forever.
  • This is a time to reconnect with our creative force, our intent, our sexual essence, our passion, our desire, our spontaneity – and everything holding these hostage

Embodied visioning practices:

The re-imagining of who we are happens in a space of ceremony, meditation, inquiry, subtle movement – exploring through guided drum journeys, breath work and dance. Tracking the subtle wisdoms of our bodies, we open up to the intelligence of the dolphins and the body of the ocean.

As we listen deeply to ourselves, we attune to the messages held on the land, the dunes and trees, the song of the wild water, encounters with those around us, and our reflection in the eye of dolphin. We learn to recognise and trust this language of the dreamtime, the journeys they invite us to make, moving from form to formless and back again, exploring new forms, new ways of being.

On a typical day, will have three circle meets  (as well as our group feasts twice a day); on ocean-faring days, two. There will also be many hours each day to roam and rest.

Retreat rates:

£1895 GBP (based on twin room/double sharing)
** early bird, if paid in full by February 28th, £1795 **

Accommodation in Coastal Forest Luxury Tented Camp:

Tucked away in the coastal forest canopy right on the beach, the Luxury tented camp offers total privacy. Built on wooden platforms, all tents are spacious and airy, fully fitted with en-suite bathrooms, hot water, tea/coffee making facilities, electric fans, white linen and very comfortable beds boasting ‘walk-in’ mosquito nets.

Shaded wooden walkways link each tent with the main deck, pool and boma areas.

Two beautiful communal gathering areas, one tucked into the forest canopy and the other over looking the magnificent Indian Ocean, a pool, a boma fire-side area and of course your private balcony at each individual tent promises to make this a simply gorgeous, nature RICH stay.

Meet Your Facilitators:

Mags MacKean is an author, storyteller and guide. She has drawn inspiration from wild places – quitting her career as a BBC journalist to scale some of the remotest peaks in the world.

Her first book, ‘Meetings On The Edge, A High Level Escape From Office Routine’ charts her hapless adventures, a crippling fear of heights – and the realisation how lasting change can’t be external. ‘The Upside Down Mountain’ explores the opposite direction: earth-bound and what the journey of descent means for a fulfilling life.

Mags has immersed with shamans in the Amazon, Andes and South Africa. An inspirational storyteller, she supports individuals to embody their creative voice and vision, and guides transformative journeys, including to Peru’s ancient heartland: “I believe in the One Soul: life continually whispering to us in the subtle nudges of our bodies, the reflections of land, people and Mother Nature, leading us ever more deeply into the mystery of ourselves…”
